Parents
Orange Charter School offers parents many ways to be involved in the education of their children and in the life of the school through frequent communication between the school and home and a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Scheduled parents conferences and informal, as-needed meetings keep parents informed of their children’s progress. Volunteer activities include helping in the classrooms or on the playground, working on Tiger Booster projects, and sharing special knowledge or expertise with students through our Curriculum Enhancement Program.
OCS is a parent governed school. Six of the seven voting members of the Board of Directors are parents. Parents are encouraged to volunteer for Board committees and to run for a seat on the Board during the annual spring election. Board and committee meetings are open to all.
